Power cable

Power cables and wires are the main components used to transfer energy from the source to the device. Our cables are perfectly designed to safely and accurately deliver the exact energy you need.

Power supply extension cord

An extension cord can make the main power cable and wire longer. It can handle mains power (110–250V) and usually works with standard plugs and sockets like IEC C13/C14 or NEMA 5–15P. These cables will last for years because they have thick copper conductors and strong PVC or rubber sheaths. Most extension cords can handle currents between 10 and 16 amps. They are the best choice for a computer, printer, monitor, server, or home appliance that doesn't put any stress on you. We check each cord's continuity and insulating strength. Our extension cords meet the standards set by UL and IEC, which means they are used all over the world.

EU and North American power cable

Power cables and wires vary by area. In Europe, plugs for 230V/50Hz circuits are usually of the Schuko CEE 7/7 type. EU wires use conductors that range from 18 AWG to 14 AWG and can carry about 10A at 250V. A Schuko-to-C13 cable can safely carry up to 10A/250V. Many PCs and servers in the EU use a Schuko (Type F) plug or a similar connector. The NEMA 5-15P plug on North American cables is for use with 120V/60Hz mains. These three-prong connectors can handle 15A at 125V without any problems. In the US, computer cables use either straight or angled NEMA 5-15P and IEC C13 connectors. These are needed for computers, screens, and UPS systems.

EU power cable Standard

EU power cable Standard

CENELEC/IEC rules say that power cables and wires in Europe are safe. The Schuko (CEE 7/7, grounded) and the Europlug (CEE 7/16, ungrounded) are both common plugs in the EU. At 250V, these can handle 10 to 16A. The IEC 60320 C13/C14 device connection is the standard for computer and monitor cables. CE and VDE standards say that EU cables are safe to use. For example, cables that change Schuko to C13 connectors must be CE registered and have a rating of 10A/250V. In Europe, blue means "live," brown means "neutral," and greenish-yellow means "earth." H05VV-F and other harmonized cords are often used in EU power cables and wires.

North American Power cable standard

North American Power cable standard

NEMA 5-15P is the standard for plugs and outlets in North America. These connectors have three prongs: hot, neutral, and ground. The copper wire in regular US power cords, like NEMA 5-15P and IEC C13, is either 18 AWG or 16 AWG. They have been approved by UL and CSA. The cable makers say that most of the time, a NEMA 5-15P to C13 power cord is used to connect a server or networking equipment to a PDU or a wall outlet. UL tests cords for insulation, ground continuity, and strain relief before putting them on the market. North American electrical wires and power cables are made to meet NEMA and UL standards for 120V service.

Power cable family

AC Power Cable

AC Power Cable

An AC power cable and wire is a cable that carries alternating current (AC) at line voltage. They could be flexible cords or construction cables that are meant to last. Most of the time, AC cables with a rating of 300/500V or 450/750V will have copper conductors and PVC insulation. Our AC power cables meet the IEC 60228 Class 5 standards because their cores are either solid or fine-stranded. They come in a variety of gauges, from 18 AWG to 2 AWG, to handle different amounts of current. Most standard cables, like IEC C13, have a rating of 10–15A at 250V and use 18 AWG (1.0 mm²) wire. We also have strong AC cables for servers and AV equipment.

DC Power Cable- 5525/5521

DC Power Cable- 5525/5521

5525/5521 and other low-voltage DC power cables and wires are often used with battery connections and wall converters. 5521 and 5525 are common sizes for barrel connections. They measure 5.5×2.1mm and 5.5×2.5mm, respectively. For example, a DC cable could have 5–24V DC and a male connector that is 5.5×2.1mm connected to a female socket. These cables are often made of PVC sheathing and copper wires that are 18 to 22 AWG thick. A standard 5.5×2.1 to 5.5×2.5 DC cable can handle a current of up to 10A. Many things, like security cameras, LED lights, routers, and monitors with their own DC inputs, use them a lot.

New energy power cable

New energy power cable

Electric cars and renewable energy cables are made just for new energy power. Solar photovoltaic (PV) cables have a UV-resistant jacket made of XLPE or EVA and are made with high-purity copper to keep them safe from the sun. Wind turbine wires can handle vibrations because they are both strong and flexible. Thermoplastic elastomer or rubber is often used for the thick, heat-resistant insulation on electric vehicle charging cables. Low-loss, flammable cables are used in batteries and storage systems. For example, solar and battery applications use XLPE-insulated cables (IEC 60502) because they can handle high temperatures.

Power cable Jacket Materials

The environment plays a role in choosing cable jackets, which protect the conductor. XLPE, PVC, and rubber are three common types of jackets. We use new energy power cable jackets that can handle ozone, wear and tear, and bad weather so that wind farms, solar farms, and electric vehicle charging stations can get power all the time. The materials we use are of the top quality and carefully attached to the cable core material, which protects the core from carrying the power accurately. For the durable material, the cable lasts for a long time.

PVC Power cable

PVC Power cable

PVC jackets that are cheap and resistant to fire. They keep things safe from both water and wear and tear. Industry standards say that PVC sheaths must be tested for chemical resistance, insulating strength, and UV exposure. PVC-insulated cables can handle temperatures up to about 70°C.

Rubber Power cable

Rubber Power cable

The jackets are made of rubber, which is usually silicone or chloroprene. These materials make the cable very flexible and long-lasting. Silicone rubber cables can easily handle chemicals, oil, and high temperatures. Rubber jackets are great for construction, maritime, portable cables, and generators.

XLPE power cable

XLPE power cable

Cross-linked polyethene (XLPE) insulation on power cables and wires works very well when they are under a lot of stress. XLPE can work all the time at temperatures between 90 and 105 degrees Celsius. It has a higher dielectric strength and lower losses. XLPE lasts a long time and is very strong.

Voltage Drop Control for Long-Distance

Use conductors that are thicker and have a larger cross-sectional area to lower resistance and voltage loss.

Choose a transmitter that can handle higher voltages and lower currents, like a step-up transformer, to reduce line loss.

Use three-phase power to cut down on losses and balance loads.

Put in power factor correction devices like capacitors or synchronous condensers to stop the loss of reactive voltage.

Use intermediate boosters or voltage regulators to raise the voltage for long trips.

Use conductive materials like high-purity copper to keep resistance low and make sure connections stay intact.

Custom Cable Design for Specialized Power Requirements

Custom Cable Engineering

Different applications may have different power needs. We offer custom cable engineering for unusual voltages, extreme conditions, or connections. Overmolds, gel that blocks water, or braiding can all be used to protect against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The length, color, and labeling of the cable are all based on the project's needs. Our research and development team may be able to make an integrated assembly of sensors, fiber optics, AC and DC lines, and other parts.

Cable Testing and Design

Custom designs go through a lot of tests, like continuity, hi-pot, and flexing. We can make power wires and cables that are just right for you. For example, we can make a wire loom for airplanes that is flame-resistant or PV cable for solar panels that is resistant to sunlight. Modern computer-aided design (CAD) software makes sure that the bending radius is correct and that the stress is relieved enough. We also make a line of high-quality "pro power wire and cable" products for companies that make original equipment.

IEC, ASTM & ISO Certified Standards

IEC Standards

IEC Standards

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) sets global standards for cables. IEC 60228 defines power cable and wires that are insulated with XLPE or PVC, and IEC 60502 covers these cables. These make sure that both the voltage rating and the current capacity are correct.

ASTM Standards

ASTM Standards

ASTM standards check conductor materials in the North American market. For copper and aluminum cores, they care most about how strong the material is, how long it lasts, and how well it resists corrosion. Cables that have been approved by ASTM will make industrial installations last longer.
