Deutsch began in 1938 as an American maker of connectors for harsh conditions. Its DT series became standard on trucks, tractors, boats and building machines. TE Connectivity acquired Deutsch in 2012, so a Deutsch (TE) wire harness uses the same design under the TE name. QL-Custom Technology Ltd., a custom wire harness, cable assembly and overmolding manufacturer, builds each Deutsch connector wiring harness to your drawing, BOM or sample. Our engineers review every design before production, and each finished harness is tested circuit by circuit. A two-pin lead gets the same care as a large multi-branch loom. We also supply the matching connector parts, so a single team handles your entire order.

TE Sealed Connector Housing with Red Lock, Black
Every project starts at a different point. Some buyers only need loose connector parts for their own line. Others want a finished Deutsch (TE) wire harness that plugs straight into a machine. Many need a design that does not exist yet. We cover all three. Common Deutsch housings, contacts and wedgelocks sit on our shelves, ready to build. Tell us what you have and what you need. Our team will point you to the right option and provide a clear quote.

Need parts for your own assembly line? We supply standard Deutsch receptacles, plugs, contacts, wedgelocks and seal plugs. Popular DT, DTM and DTP sizes are kept in stock in 2- to 12-way configurations. Parts ship loose or packed as kits. Each lot carries clear part numbers. If a housing is hard to find, we will help you find it.

Some teams just want a part they can install right away. For them, we build finished harnesses, pigtails, jumpers and extension leads with Deutsch plugs on one or both ends. Each Deutsch connector cable assembly is tested before it leaves our floor. Labels and part numbers follow your drawing. It arrives ready to plug in.

A catalog part will not fit every design. We build harnesses with mixed connector brands, unusual lengths, special wire and overmolded ends. Custom breakout points are no problem. If all you have is an old sample, we can study it and rebuild it to spec. You approve a drawing first, so the finished part matches what you expect.
No two machines face the same conditions. A harness on a highway truck is exposed to road salt and engine heat. One on an excavator gets hit by rocks and blasted with high-pressure water. For this reason, we design each Deutsch wiring harness for the place where it will be used. Before we draw anything, we look at current, wire length, bend points and nearby heat. We also ask how often the plugs will be opened for service. Only then do we pick the series, wire type, sleeving and routing. You get a Deutsch (TE) wire harness that fits the first time and keeps working when conditions get rough.

Trucks, buses, vans and off-road vehicles often use Deutsch plugs for lighting, sensors and add-on parts. We build engine, chassis, lighting and trailer harnesses for OEM and aftermarket buyers. Refit and upgrade kits make up a large share of this work. Think LED light bars, winches, work lights and camper power systems. Our plug-and-play harnesses connect to the vehicle without cutting factory wires. Fleet and heavy-truck projects often require J1939 data link harnesses, and we build those too. Kits can ship with fuses, relays, switches and install labels.

Excavators, loaders, cranes and road rollers work in dust, mud and constant shaking. Their harnesses must survive rocks, hydraulic oil and daily pressure washing. Our range covers cab, engine, boom, valve and sensor harnesses for these machines. Deutsch DT and DTM plugs handle most signal and control lines. At bulkheads and cab-to-chassis links, heavy-duty HD30 and HDP20 connectors carry multiple circuits through a single sealed plug. Long runs get abrasion sleeves, corrugated tube and tough clamps. Every branch lines up with your machine's routing points.

Electric machines and energy systems still need tough low-voltage wiring. We build Deutsch harnesses for battery management, charging stations, energy storage cabinets and solar trackers. These harnesses carry control signals, sensor data and auxiliary power. When the current climbs, we move to the DTP and DTHD series with larger contacts and thicker wire. Electric forklifts and electric construction machines use the same sealed design. Battery heat and strong sun call for high-temperature wire and UV-resistant covers. Every circuit gets a clear label, which makes service safer and faster.

Factory and outdoor machines need wiring that is easy to service. Pumps, compressors, generators and wash-down food machines all gain from sealed quick-disconnect plugs. Control, sensor and solenoid valve harnesses come with Deutsch connectors on each end. When a part fails, a technician can unplug it and fit a new one without rewiring. Contacts can also be pulled and replaced with a simple tool. Wire colors and labels follow your control drawing. On request, harnesses ship pre-routed for your panel or machine frame.

Most Deutsch series work from -55°C to +125°C and keep their seal against water, dust and heavy vibration. Our job is to build every harness so it keeps that rating. Crimps are checked for height and pull force, and each finished harness is tested circuit by circuit. A Deutsch (TE) wire harness from QL-Custom is ready for pressure washing, road salt and long days in the sun.

Our harnesses plug straight into the Deutsch parts already on your equipment. Housings, keys and pin positions match the original part numbers. You choose the wire, length, color, labels, sleeving and connector ends. We can build with original TE Deutsch parts or with compatible parts, based on your budget and approval needs. Either way, every custom Deutsch wire harness is made to your drawing.

Buying straight from the factory takes the middleman out of your price. You talk directly with the engineers who plan your parts and the team that builds them. Our checks catch crimp, seal and pin faults before shipping, so fewer problems reach the field. We also look for honest savings. On high-volume jobs, for example, stamped contacts can cost less than solid ones and still do the job well.
Tractors, sprayers, combines and forest machines work in rain, mud and chemical spray. Deutsch (TE) wire harnesses keep their lights, sensors and controls sealed through long seasons. Plugs can be opened again and again for service. Farm equipment makers and dealers use our harnesses for new builds and repairs.
Saltwater reaches every part of a boat. Sealed Deutsch plugs keep moisture away from pumps, lights, engines and navigation parts. We can use tinned copper wire to slow corrosion. These harnesses suit fishing boats, yachts, ferries and port equipment.
Mining trucks, drills and conveyors run nonstop in dust and heavy shock. Harnesses here need thick sleeving and strong strain relief at every plug. Our Deutsch builds withstand rock impacts and fine dust. When a part fails, crews can unplug it and swap it fast.
Trains and track-maintenance vehicles require sealed connections beneath the car body. Deutsch harnesses link brake sensors, lights, doors and track equipment. They cope with vibration, water spray and big temperature swings. Clear labels help rail crews get through scheduled maintenance faster.
Fire trucks, ambulances and police vehicles carry extra lights, sirens and control panels. All of it has to work the moment a call comes in. We build upfit harnesses with Deutsch plugs for quick installs. Upfitters save hours on each vehicle.
Race cars need light, tight wiring that won't come loose. Deutsch DT and DTM plugs are a common choice in this field. We build compact Deutsch (TE) wire harnesses for engines, dash panels and data loggers. Each one is made to take heat and hard landings.
Made for tight spaces and signal lines. Its size 20 contacts are rated at 7.5 amps each, and housings run from 2 to 12 ways. Pick DTM for sensors, switches and small control modules.
The Deutsch series you will see most often. Its size 16 contacts handle up to 13 amps, with the same wide range of housing sizes. It covers most lighting, sensor and general power circuits.
More power in a small body. Size 12 contacts can handle up to 25 amps in 2-way or 4-way housings. Use it for pumps, fans, heaters and motor feeds.
A single-pin plug for heavy current. Contacts go up to size 4 and are rated up to 100 amps. It suits battery links, starters and main power lines.
A round, metal-shell connector for high pin counts. One plug can mix different contact sizes. Choose HD30 when multiple circuits must pass through a single sealed bulkhead.
A lighter plastic version of the round heavy-duty plug. It packs many circuits into one housing at a lower cost. Use it where weight and budget matter, but sealing still counts.
| Contact size | Series | Wire | Current |
|---|---|---|---|
| Size 20 | DTM | 16 to 22 AWG | Up to 7.5 A |
| Size 16 | DT, HD30, HDP20 | 14 to 20 AWG | Up to 13 A |
| Size 12 | DTP, DTHD | 10 to 14 AWG | Up to 25 A |
| Size 8 | DTHD | 8 AWG | Up to 60 A |
| Size 4 | DTHD | 4 AWG | Up to 100 A |
We measure the wire insulation before choosing a seal. Thin wire leaves a gap for water. Thick wire can tear the seal.
Each unused cavity gets a sealing plug. An open hole is the fastest way to flood a sealed connector.
Solid and stamped contacts need different crimp tools, and we never mix them. A crimp made with the wrong tool can look fine and still fail later.
Each contact goes in until it clicks, then gets a light tug. A loose contact causes an open circuit that is hard to trace.
The wedgelock must sit flat with the housing face. We check this by eye on every plug. If it sits halfway, contacts can slip under vibration.
Wires leave the plug straight for a short distance before any bend. A sharp bend right behind the connector pulls the seal open over time.
Boots, backshells, heat-shrink and clamps take the load off each crimp. The Deutsch (TE) wire harness flexes along the cable instead of at the plug.
For upward-facing plugs, our drawings show where a drip loop should go. Water then runs off before it reaches the connector.
We replaced a batch of failing trailer lighting harnesses with QL-Custom's DT builds. After a full winter of road salt, not a single plug has let in water. The labels made the installation easy for our techs.
Mark JensenClean HD30 bulkhead harnesses for our forestry machines. They caught a key clash in our drawing before production. Good communication from quote to delivery.
Lars ErikssonWe sell LED light bars, and their DT pigtails and splitters fit perfectly. Packaging and labels were done to our specs. Reorders are simple.
Olivia GrantOur compact sensor module needed DTM harnesses with tight bend limits. The routing matched our 3D model on the first sample. Very careful work.
Hiroshi TanakaOur mining conveyors run in heavy dust all day. These Deutsch (TE) wire harnesses have held up far better than our old ones. Wiring faults are now rare on our site.
Thabo NkosiWe fit out our emergency vehicles, so install time matters. Their plug-and-play Deutsch harnesses cut our wiring time on every vehicle. Each circuit was labeled exactly as we asked.
Michael O'BrienYour machines work where failure is expensive. One wet plug can stop a truck on the road or a loader on site. QL-Custom Technology Ltd. builds each Deutsch (TE) wire harness with the small details that prevent those stops. Our engineers work with DT, DTM, DTP, DTHD and HD series part numbers every day. We match seals to wire, plug empty cavities and test every circuit before shipping. Because you buy direct from the factory, prices stay fair and answers come fast. A ten-piece sample run gets the same care as a large repeat order. Send your drawing, pinout or sample today. You will get a clear quote with lead time and design notes.

Yes. TE Connectivity bought Deutsch in 2012. The connectors are now sold under the TE brand and are often marked "DEUTSCH" on the housing. The DT, DTM and DTP designs did not change after the sale. A TE Deutsch wire harness uses the same parts that machine builders have relied on for years.
They are sealed and rated IP67 or IP68. The seal only works when the wire insulation fits the seal size and every empty cavity is plugged. Build quality matters as much as the connector itself. We check both on every Deutsch (TE) wire harness we make.
Solid contacts are machined from a metal bar. They handle more mating cycles and suit plugs that are opened often. Stamped contacts are formed from sheet metal and cost less in high volume. Let us know your current, service needs and budget, and we will suggest the right type.
Yes. Take out the wedgelock, then release the contact by lifting its latch with a small tool. A new contact can be crimped and pushed into the same cavity. This makes Deutsch plugs easy to repair in the field. We can also supply spare contacts and seals for your service teams.
Take DT06-4S as an example. "DT" is the series, "06" means a plug, "4" is the number of ways and "S" means sockets. A "DT04" part is a receptacle, and "P" means pins. Extra letters at the end show keying, color or flange options.
Yes. Send clear photos of both connector ends, the wire colors and any labels. A physical sample is even better. Our engineers will identify the series and part numbers, then draw the harness for your approval. This works well when the original supplier is no longer available.
We can build with original TE Deutsch connectors and contacts, or with compatible parts that mate with them. Your quote always states which one you are getting. Original parts are best for OEM approvals and warranty work. Compatible parts can lower costs on price-sensitive aftermarket jobs.
